Help Black Lives Matter Bail Out Incarcerated Black Women In Time for Mother’s Day

Help Black Lives Matter bail out incarcerated black women so they can enjoy Mother’s Day at home while they await trial.

Called National Mama’s Bail Out Day, it is designed to relieve women who are languishing in jail for lack of bail money and draw attention to iniquities in the justice system at the local, state, and federal level.

So far, the organizers have reportedly raised about $250,000, enough to free dozens of women who were arrested on low-level charges.

Cities where bail-out actions are taking place include New York City, Chicago, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Los Angeles, Houston, Atlanta, Minneapolis, and almost a dozen more.
