Score two wins with one purchase by buying Michael Wolff’s Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House from an independent bookstore near you.
Wolff’s new book was going to be a hot read regardless. When Trump’s lawyer sent Wolff and his publisher, Henry Holt & Co, a cease-and-desist letter on January 4, 2018, the demand for the book soared into Harry Potter territory.
To their immense and enduring credit, Holt responded to Trump’s letter by moving the book’s release date UP, from January 9 to January 5.
If you haven’t bought a copy yet and you want to do two good things in one act, please get Fire and Fury from an independent bookstore.
Independent bookstores are vital, and they’ve struggled with the rise of Amazon, and to a lesser extent, the rise of mega-retailers such as Barnes & Noble, Target, and Wal-Mart. When you buy this book, remember that you’re voting with your dollars, and cast your vote accordingly.
Below is a list of independent bookstores in the U.S. and Canada.
