Update, April 15, 2018: Earlier this week, Speaker of the House Paul Ryan, the incumbent House Rep for Wisconsin’s 1st District, announced that he would not run again.

 

While we’re stuck with the zombie-eyed granny starver until January 2019, when the winners of the November 2018 contests are sworn in, this is great news, and even better news for Ironstache.

 

There is still time for Wisconsin Republicans to recruit and run a better candidate for the house seat. (Right now there’s a neo-Nazi who we at OTYCD won’t bother to name.) If and when they choose a challenger, we’ll update this page accordingly.

Support Randy Bryce, aka “Ironstache”, and his bid to push Speaker of the House Paul Ryan out of his seat in Wisconsin’s 1st Congressional District.

 

Lots of good people have stepped up to challenge Republican villains in the House, but few have been as flamboyant and fun to watch as Randy Bryce, who also goes by the name Ironstache.

 

Bryce created a powerful online-only campaign ad that reaped heaps of press and helped him rack up donations like crazy. He launched his campaign on June 19 and had pulled in $430,000 by early July–given by more than 16,000 people.

 

Bryce is a union ironworker, an Army veteran, and a cancer survivor. He is the political coordinator for Ironworkers Local 8. He supports a single-payer health care system, reproductive rights, comprehensive immigration reform, campaign finance reform, and measures that fight climate change.
