Update, May 22, 2018: Dr. Mann lost the May 22 primary runoff. We at OTYCD encourage Mann to run again in the future.
Update, March 11, 2018: Mann came second in the March 6, 2018 Democratic primary and will advance to the May 22 primary runoff. She drew 33.53 percent of the vote to M. J. Hegar’s 44.91 percent. We at OTYCD wish Mann luck in the May runoff.
Support Dr. Christine Mann, who is running for the House of Representatives seat in Texas’s District 31 in 2018.
Dr. Mann is a family physician in central Texas. She is a progressive Democrat who favors strengthening the ACA by expanding Medicaid, offering a public option, and working toward universal coverage. She favors universal Pre-K and tuition-free higher education programs. She is pro-LGBTQ rights, pro women’s rights, and wants to pursue programs that bridge the inequality gap and reduce poverty.
She had long wanted to run for office but was finally moved to act by the outcome of the November 2016 election.
