Do you run a brick-and-mortar business that welcomes trans people who need to use your bathrooms? Join the Safe Bathrooms Club.
The Safe Bathrooms Club is a map of places across America with bathrooms that are safe for trans people. As the good guys fight to ensure that trans people can use their preferred bathrooms, it becomes clearer and clearer how restrictive bathroom laws needlessly and cruelly complicate their lives.
To join, you need to fill out a form that identifies your business and describes what type of bathrooms it has, as well as the signage. That’s it. As of March 31, more than 200 businesses had signed up.
If you don’t run an establishment with trans-friendly bathrooms, you can help in other ways. By wearing an #IllGoWithYou button, you indicate to friends who are trans that you are willing to escort them to a bathroom, or to other heavily gendered spaces that might be hostile to them. You can also purchase and donate #IllGoWithYou buttons.
