Join a Save the Post Office Rally on Saturday, August 22, at 11 am your time, whatever time zone you’re in.
You’ve been stepping up, pushing back, and making all of us at OTYCD proud. Postmaster DeJoy is feeling the heat. We need to keep the heat on, and crank it.
Our friends at MoveOn have brought kindling and lighter fluid in the form of Save the Post Office rallies, planned for Saturday, August 22, 2020, at 11 am local time, wherever you happen to be.
If you visit the relevant page at the MoveOn.org site and plug in your zip code, it will generate a list of events near you.
And yes, Joshua Potash (@JoshuaPotash) is correct when he tweets that this needs to be a sustained movement along the lines of the Black Lives Matter protests. Those who are interested and able are encouraged to take the initiative to keep these rallies rolling until DeJoy commits to repairing the damage he’s already done and Congress ensures that the USPS has the funds it needs to handle the November election.
Please wear a mask and practice social distancing if you attend a rally in person.
Please remember those who want to be there, but can’t.
If you’re among the second group, refresh yourself on how you can support these rallies without attending in person.
