Back on Monday, each state’s electors met to formally cast their votes in the 2020 presidential election.
As I, Sarah Jane, write this, those acts are in the near future.
I can be dead certain of one thing, though.
Trump will throw yet another unseemly tantrum when some of those electors rebuff his ongoing attempt to upend democracy. He will prove yet again that he’s unfit for the office he’s so desperate to keep.
What should you do? Where should you devote your energy? Well…
If you’re looking for One Thing You Can Do today, right now, to push back against Trump and Trumpism, helping Jon Ossoff and Rev. Raphael Warnock win the runoff elections for the Georgia Senate seats is it. Seriously. No kidding. If you can only focus on one thing, that’s where it should be.
The twin runoffs take place January 5, 2021.
Why is this so important? If both Ossoff and Warnock win, we take away Mitch McConnell’s power over the Senate. We also make it possible for President-elect Joe Biden to fulfill his campaign promises.
In the past, with multi-day actions, we reposted the same story each day. This time, we’re trying something different–posting the link to the original, and updating that instead:
We appreciate your relentless focus on this task. Please keep doing the work and keep recruiting others to join you.
