The 2020 elections were, to put it mildly, a mixed bag. The polls seemed to say the Democrats would win the presidency, a bunch of Senate seats, and hold the House of Representatives with ease.
We got the most important of the three decisively, no matter what Trump and his minions claim.
We held the House, but by the skin of our teeth.
And those Senate seats? We got… two.
Ugh. Just, ugh.
Georgia delivered us all a second chance in the form of twin Senate runoffs, taking place on January 5, 2021.
Our last shot at sidelining the corrosive power of Senate Leader Mitch McConnell comes through winning those seats. And we need them both.
Yeah, polls about the Georgia Senate runoff races are coming out, but do I really need to tell you to ignore them? Ignore them, dammit. Always act like your candidate is ten points behind in the polls and a million dollars behind in fundraising. Always always always.
Between now and January 6, 2021, doing what you can, when you can, to help Jon Ossoff and Rev. Raphael Warnock win the twin runoffs for the Senate seats in Georgia is IT.
If you can only focus on one thing, that’s where it should be.
