Thank the nine House Impeachment managers who prosecuted the Senate trial of Donald Trump.
On Saturday, February 13, the Senate trial of Donald Trump on a single charge of incitement to insurrection ended in an acquittal on a 57-43 vote. Seven Republicans voted to convict, but 67 Senators needed to vote yes to meet the two-thirds threshold.
We had braced for this outcome, but the trial was worth the effort. Marcy Wheeler, who tweets under the @emptywheel handle, summed it up best when she said before the vote:
Folks: You’re not going to change GOP minds and with the exception of a handful, you never were. What you CAN do is raise the political cost on them for letting the Commander in Chief incite a terrorist attack on themselves.
With this in mind, it’s time to thank the nine Democrats who served as House Impeachment managers during the trial for their excellent work in building an airtight case, knowing that some in the Senate would ignore the heaps of evidence they would array and place before them.
The nine House Impeachment managers were:
Jamie Raskin of Maryland’s 8th District. (He served as the lead manager.)
Joaquin Castro of Texas’s 20th District.
David Cicilline of Rhode Island’s 1st District
Madeleine Dean of Pennsylvania’s 4th District
Diana DeGette of Colorado’s 1st District
Ted Lieu of California’s 33rd District
Joe Neguse of Colorado’s 2nd District
Stacey Plaskett, who represents the at-large district of the Virgin Islands
Eric Swalwell, of California’s 15th District
If any of them are your own House Reps, call them and thank them.
If they do not directly represent you, please thank them by following them on Twitter or Facebook; donating to their campaigns through ActBlue; and maybe mailing a thank-you postcard to their Washington, D.C. offices. (A postcard is best for a paper thank-you because its contents are plainly visible to all as it passes through the postal system.)
Find each on Twitter and Facebook by plugging their names into the search engines on each platform:

Find each on ActBlue via the search function on its home page:
To send a thank-you postcard, find the Washington, D.C. street addresses for each of the nine via this public House of Representatives directory:

An extra note on Jamie Raskin. Just before the January 6 Insurrection, he lost his only son, Tommy, to suicide.
He still somehow mustered the strength to lead the team of Impeachment managers.
Another way you can thank him for his work is to donate to the Tommy Raskin Memorial Fund for People and Animals, which was formed in the wake of his death. It will distribute periodic donations to organizations such as The Helen Keller Institute, Give Directly, and Oxfam.
