This OTYCD entry originally posted in April 2017.

Subscribe to Wall-of-Us, which offers a weekly collection of actions to push back against Trump.

Encouraging greater activism is the goal of Wall-of-Us, which says on its home page, “He promised a wall. He will be stopped by a wall of us.”

Every Sunday it sends out four actions that you can take over the course of the coming week. Some are timely, some are long term. All provide food for thought and fuel for concrete action.

Check Out Resistance Near Me

Check out Resistance Near Me, a web tool that shows you Resistance-related events near you.

The website works in partnership with the Town Hall Project to find protests, town halls, public meetings, Congressional district office hours, and other events near you where your MoCs will appear. On plugging in your zip code, it will pop up a map with several options.

Resistance Near Me will tell you how many events are within a 75-mile radius of you, and will give you full details on the site of the event and the nature of the event, with options to add it to a calendar, RSVP, and get directions.

Bookmark Tracking Congress in the Age of Trump, a tool created by fivethirtyeight.com that shows you how often your senators and house reps vote with the president.

You will want to refer to this tool periodically, and more and more as we approach the 2018 elections.

The most useful aspects, in our estimation, are the Trump Score columns on the Senate and the House pages. The Trump Score shows you how often, percentage-wise, your senators and your house rep casts a vote that matches Trump’s position.

Save This Tool That Shows How Your Senators Voted on Trump’s Cabinet Appointments

This OTYCD entry originally posted in March 2017.

Save this web site that shows you how all 100 senators voted on Trump’s cabinet picks.

The web site below records how every senator voted on Trump’s cabinet choices:

https://cabinetvotes.org

You can sort the data to show just Republicans, just Democrats, just Independents, or everybody. The link above is set to everybody.

OTYCD will also repost this entry as we approach the 2018 midterms, but do bookmark it.

Thanks to @theonetruebix on Twitter for the tip and the link.

Many anti-Trump lists, sites, services, and social media accounts have sprung up since the election. Most are good, but some are better.

What Do I Do About Trump, an all-volunteer effort, stands out for its depth and breadth. It’s the digital equivalent of a Trump resistance supermarket, except it’s a supermarket where half the aisles are full of cool stuff you heard of once and forgot about, or had no idea existed.

The site also stands apart from its competitors for offering two dedicated sections of note:

Inspiring Friends, which explicitly recognizes the value of recruiting your friends to join you in your activism

Protect Yourself, which gives you resources on how to protect yourself “if some of Trump’s campaign promises become reality”.

Fair warning: Set aside an afternoon and get your bookmarking finger ready. You’ll be disappearing down the rabbit hole, in a good way.

Save This Tool for Keeping Tabs on Bills That Concern You: GovTrack

Bookmark Govtrack.us, a nifty tool for learning about and tracking bills that concern you.

Govtrack debuted in 2004 as a hobby project and blossomed into what you see today. It helps you find federal legislation on issues that you care about, and lets you track them as they work their way through Congress.

It can also show you the bills most tracked by the site’s users, trending bills, and other useful information, such as the total amount of legislation passed by Congress in the current session. And it offers good longer reads in the form of GovTrackInsider, which offers detailed examinations of hot bills and contested issues.
